Deadly Crash on I-90 Causes Long Backups

According to KOMO News, a deadly crash shut down the eastbound lanes of I-90 just east of Snoqualmie Pass.

The State Patrol says one person was killed in the 3-car crash on Sunday afternoon near milepost 76, between Easton and Nelson, about six miles west of Cle Elum.

At one point, troopers stopped eastbound traffic at milepost 47, near the Denny Creek area. That area reopened to traffic just before 5 p.m.

At the same time, separate crashes and heavy traffic on I-90 westbound near Cle Elum have caused a 22-mile backup in that direction. Troopers say drivers headed westbound can expect an additional one to two hours of added to their commute through that area.
