Driver Killed in High Speed Bellevue Car Crash

According to KOMO News, a young man was killed Wednesday night when he lost control of his car and slammed into a tree in Bellevue.

The driver, who is thought to be between 18- and 20-years old, was speeding when he lost control of his car and hit a tree and a light pole in Bellevue just before 8 p.m., according to the Bellevue Police Department.

The man’s car was torn in half in the crash, and he was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

When the car hit the tree, police said the tree toppled over and landed on a Maserati. The Maserati driver was not injured and his car was not significantly damaged.

Traffic is blocked near the crash scene while police investigate and clear the area.
