According to King 5 News, distracted driving is being blamed for a four vehicle collision and truck fire on northbound I-5 in Seattle that blocked all lanes Tuesday morning.
It happened around 8:30 a.m. near the Convention Center. Within minutes, the backup extended an estimated seven miles. WSDOT worked to reverse the express lanes to relieve some of the congestion.
A 67-year-old driver was taken to Harborview Medical Center, though Seattle Fire Department said that was only a precaution.
The Washington State Patrol tweeted that distracted driving was to blame for the collision.
