Seattle Family Struggles for Recovery After Fatal DUI Crash

For almost 2 weeks, a mother and her daughters have been fighting for their lives after a tragic car accident that claimed the life of their father.

Troopers say that a 32-year-old man was drinking and driving on March 7th when he crossed the centerline in Spanaway and hit the family’s vehicle head-on.

The father did not survive the crash, while the mother and two daughters were critically wounded with life-altering injuries.

The oldest daughter is now home, but her mother and younger sister remain hospitalized with additional internal, back, and head injuries.

The driver suspected of causing the accident, fatality, and injuries while driving while intoxicated is being held on $500,000 bond and will make his next court appearance in April.
