Former Seahawk Jerramy Stevens Arrested for DUI

According to Komo News, former Seahawks player Jerramy Stevens was arrested on suspicion of DUI this week while his wife, U.S. soccer player Hope Solo, was in the car with him.

Law enforcement sources state that Solo was acting “belligerent” during her husband’s arrest and was nearly arrested herself for disorderly conduct.

The incident comes just days after a King County judge dismissed domestic violence charges against Solo based on a June altercation at a family gathering in Kirkland.

Los Angeles police allegedly spotted Stevens, 35, swerving on the road at about 1:30 a.m. Monday and pulled him over.  Stevens refused to submit to a breath test, so police got a warrant to draw a blood sample and place him under arrest with a $5,000 bail set.

Stevens, a former first-round draft pick, played in the NFL for nine seasons and was part of the Seahawk’s 2005 team that lost in the Super Bowl to the Pittsburgh Steelers.  In 2007, Stevens was convicted of drunken driving in Arizona when he was a Seahawks tight-end and was given a 30-day jail sentence, as well as a one-game NFL suspension.  He was also arrested in 2012 for allegedly assaulting Solo and injuring her elbow.  That charge was eventually dropped due to lack of evidence.
