According to Komo News, an officer was hospitalized early Thursday morning after a driver in Beacon Hill crossed the centerline and crashed head-on into the officer’s patrol car.

According to police, the officer was driving north on Swift Avenue South just north of Mars Avenue North shortly after 5:45 a.m. when he was hit by a sedan. Both cars were severely damaged, and the officer was taken to a nearby hospital with minor injuries. The driver was treated on the scene.
