Taco Bell Burrito Found with Unconscious DUI Suspect at Traffic Light

According to the Orlando Sentinel, an intoxicated Deltona, Florida man faces DUI charges after he was found unconscious in his car at a traffic light early Monday morning holding a half-eaten Taco Bell burrito.

A witness started following the suspect’s blue 2002 Acura when he noticed the suspect drifting in and out of a traffic lane then briefly drive up onto a curb. The witness called police around 12:30 a.m. Monday after watching the suspect, who police say fell asleep at the wheel, sit through several traffic lights without moving.

When police and paramedics arrived, they found the suspect asleep with his car running and half-eaten burrito in hand. Once police reached the suspect and turned his car off, it still took another two minutes to rouse the man, who managed to stay fast asleep as his window was smashed.

Just before 2 a.m. the suspect agreed to two breath tests and both times, his blood alcohol content was more than twice the legal limit of .08. The suspect was arrested on misdemeanor DUI charges and booked into the Volusia County Jail.
